1,111 Eyes To The Soul

Visionary artist, Michael Bowen's art goes beyond the canvas into the light.  At this year's 11:11 event Michael will be challenging our senses with a projection installation featuring 1,111 eyes captured of local Tampa Bay area friends.

The purpose of this large installation is to demonstrate the truth that we are all connected.  As the viewer focuses on the pupil of the morphing eye, cycling through different races, ages and genders, the overwhelming feeling of oneness pervades the conscious mind. It will be like looking at your own eye deeply in the mirror, but with other eyes.  How often have you looked a complete stranger right into the soul? And what effect will occur if you sit through the entire 1,111 eye cycle?
Bowen Imagery
His company, Bowen Imagery provides high-end graphics and illustration for spiritual innovators like Donna Eden and David Feinstein. Catering to companies large and small, national and local, his custom shop produces clean graphics and effective websites. Michael and crew put together this website to be used as a hub and resource for global artistic awakening to oneness.
Solo Art
Michael’s visionary art depicts the flow of energy and spirit through natural forms and abstract shapes. Rooted in traditional and street art, Michael's style transcends the typical labels. "I always have a delicate balance of masculine and feminine, uniting contrast and bridging the gap to make ideas more acceptable for others. My purpose through art is to raise the vibration in the room and expose the eternal spirit within each of us."
Collaborative Art
In addition to his solo work, Michael and his wife, Ami Bowen, seamlessly collide natural subjects using photography in a digital environment. The result is beautiful giclee's on canvas melding two worlds that can't exist. "Crowd favorite, Wild Forest, uses a gorgeous shot of Giant City Park in Illinois, a huge boulder from Colorado and a poison-arrow frog from Selby Gardens, Florida along with a dragon fly I created in Illustrator. Taking three or four different environments and allowing them to peaceably exist."
Soulfire and Drumming
Mike’s drum ensemble Soulfire began 2 years ago and provides a rhythmic creative outlet expanding his visual art to a musical form. "I started tapping on school desks in elementary school, then gravitated to the drum...and now full-on performances with my crew...our soul's are on fire."
The Purpose of Art and Creating 11:11
"We are all given talents, desires, dreams and visions.  It is up to us to take action and act upon these spiritual nudges. At a certain point I began letting go of the heaviness and gradually let my true-self come forth. It would be hard to explain everything that led up to Ami and putting this event together, but it is truly a test of faith and following our hearts desire. We are creating this event to provide a highly inspired creative experience for everyone. We want the common person to feel that greater sense of self through an experiental light, sound and visual art medium."

Original and archival prints of Michael's work can be purchased through his Creative Shop.

Absolutely, the only way to live! Every moment is a miracle if you are awake, otherwise you are a victim of life and what fun is that?
